The role of the Secretary is currently vacant. Secretary is a vital position which requires excellent communication skills, the ability to take the initiative and follow up without prompting, strong organization skills, and the ability to pay attention to detail. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for this role please let us know.

Ms. Jennifer Kay Steele has worked in the Social Services field for nearly 20 years, earning a BS in Criminal Justice, a BA in Business Administration, and her MSW in Social Work. She can be contacted at jennifersteele@gainingfreedominc.org.

 Ms. Jewel Hopson, MSHR did her undergraduate studies at Xavier University (Cincinnati), and graduate studies at the University of Maryland specializing in human resource management, international affairs, and gender/diversity studies. She has worked in the higher education arena for over 15 years in the area of admissions, career and student development with some of the nation's top universities; including UNC: Chapel Hill, USC: Berkeley, Fordham, and Northwestern University, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated. Nathaniel D Cassell is one of many who have proven that although we may have made a few mistakes, it's absolutely possible to not only gain your freedom, but maintain it and thrive. Nathaniel "Nate" is an author, a philanthropist, a Big Brother, a business owner (Cassell's Concrete Service), and a dedicated supporter of his community, and others who have found themselves in the grasps of the penal system
